Fit, wear and care
- Choose by shoe size: S for women's 5 to 7, M for men's 6 to 8.5 or women's 7.5 to 10, L for men's 9 to 11.5, XL for men's 12 to 14.
- Between two sizes, take the smaller one: a sock that is too big bunches at the toe.
- Socks are final sale once the pair is opened, so check the size before you open them.
- Machine wash cold, inside out. Line dry.
- Keep them out of the dryer, which wears out merino socks faster than walking does.
- Wash knitwear cold, by hand or on the wool cycle, and always dry it flat
- Wash denim rarely, inside out and cold, and hang it to dry
- Never tumble-dry wool, cashmere blends or waxed cotton
- Re-wax waxed jackets once a season and never machine-wash or dry-clean them

Which size am I?
Go by your shoe size. S fits women's 5 to 7; M fits men's 6 to 8.5 and women's 7.5 to 10; L fits men's 9 to 11.5; XL fits men's 12 to 14.
Can I return socks?
Unopened, within 30 days. Socks are final sale once opened, for hygiene, which is why the sizing here is by shoe size.
I opened them and the size is wrong.
Opened socks cannot be returned or exchanged. If they arrived damaged, defective or not what you ordered, that is different: write to us.
Are they for hiking only?
No. They are cushioned for boots and are worn every day in them.

How long do they last?
The heel and the toe are reinforced with nylon, which is where socks fail. We do not publish a number of miles.
